ブルームバーグ商品指数（BCOM）は、先物契約を使用して現物商品（コモディティ）への流動性が高く分散化されたエクスポージャーを提供するよう設計されたインデックス・ファミリーです。分散型金融ポートフォリオにコモディティを組み込むことの主な利点には、長期的なプラスリターンが得られることのほか、株式・債券との相関性が低いことなどがあります。

BCOMはコモディティへの広範なエクスポージャーを提供するインデックスであり、特定のコモディティまたはコモディティセクターへの偏りはありません。BCOMの分散型コモディティエクスポージャーは、特定のコモディティ市場またはコモディティセクターのみに影響を及ぼすようなミクロ経済的イベントに左右されるのではなく、非分散型のコモディティ投資と比較してボラティリティーが軽減される可能性があります。
